I like how you shaded this to make its fur seem more dimensional. It's interesting how this has elements of graphic design in it, too. There's a tiny missed sky spot by the right ear, though. >_>;

It still amazes me how sloppy I draw with a tablet xD I'm starting at the The Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall (The only good art school in GA). I really never even thought about doing anything with art, but I can't do normal school.
I had a 4.1 gpa. Highschool fried my brainn. So theres no more math left for college in there..
Soo I gotta get ready for 6 years of graphic design~ and actually learning how to draw xD

Art schools don't really teach you how to draw, they just teach you how to use tools and sometimes give tips. (We're in college for animation right now.) They juse make you turn in art assignments that match real jobs.

You should definitely practice drawing designs and stuff on your own spare time. It only takes like a month to notice a big improvement in art if you draw for a few hours every day. Just draw a bigger variety of stuff but also try to boost your recognizable style. Oh yeah, buying a textbook about graphic design is a good idea, too.

Sorry for using the oekaki as a chat board, but I guess I thought this was important to say.

It's true that they don't teach you 'how' to draw but life-drawing class is immensely helpful. Those hours of just pure drawing every week are SO helpful.

So I really like the way this turned out. After on/off sessions of Ragnarok and drawing, mixed in with a little hanging out with friends, I was finally able to finish this. Started off as a doodle, just kinda went from there. AND NOW!...Back to Ragnarok! Enjoy~

WOOOw <3 The tones are indeed AMAZING, especially that background, and on the boday~ I like the structure of the body.

I probably tried too much with the tones on this, but I'm mainly just experimenting with poses, interactions, etc. etc. Her wings are supposed to look sort of ghostly see-throughish...X.x I don't know if I like this, but it's 5 AM and I'm tired.

The half toned background kind of makes me think of fog/rain a bit. XD; I can't really tell, I don't think there's any half tone in the hair. Maybe you could try experimenting next time by puting in less black lines (like try to space them out more) and put some tone in there, too, since it's the only thing besides the wings that doesn't have any.

I like the contrast between their personalities, though. The poses match and are good. =)

I noticed you draw a lot of patterned backgrounds, it'd be cool if maybe you tried to draw a setting instead sometime. Then you'd get more comfortable and maybe move up to having characters interacting with the background (though I still have to improve at that, myself X_X).

ps. i was stuck at the hospital all day yesterday, because my granfather had his 7th back surgery yesterday. this one was for removing a huge amount of pocketed fluid off of his spine, it was the biggest that the doctor has ever seen. grandpa made it out of the surgery fine, so i'm thankful~

I like this! It reminds me of when I was little, my parents used to take me to this park at night sometimes and there were sooo many fireflies and all the kids would be trying to catch one. The heart on the moon is cute, and awesome tone usage on the sky =D
